Volume 1, No. 1, 2025: Inaugural Issue

The inaugural issue of JOINTIES: Journal of Interdisciplinary Humanities Studies marks the beginning of a scholarly platform dedicated to bridging disciplinary boundaries in humanities research. This issue welcomes diverse contributions connecting local wisdom with global academic discourse, particularly studies demonstrating innovative approaches to understanding human experiences, cultural expressions, and social phenomena.

This first volume presents research that exemplifies the journal's commitment to interdisciplinary dialogue across linguistic studies, literature, history, anthropology, and other humanities fields. The issue features original research that explores the rich tapestry of cultural heritage, traditional knowledge systems, and contemporary interpretations of historical and social contexts.

We particularly encourage submissions that utilize experimental methodological approaches such as post-ethnography, auto-ethnography, and reflective writing that combine personal experience with cultural analysis. This inaugural issue aims to establish JOINTIES as a vital forum where scholars from various disciplines can engage in meaningful conversations that transcend conventional academic boundaries and contribute to developing more integrated perspectives in humanities studies.

Through this collection of diverse scholarly works, we hope to inspire researchers to explore new territories in humanities research and to foster intellectual networks that appreciate the value of multifaceted approaches to understanding human cultures and societies.
