About the Journal
Amid an increasingly fragmented academic landscape, JOINTIES: Journal of Interdisciplinary Humanities Studies emerges as a meeting point for diverse currents of thought. As a peer-reviewed scholarly journal, JOINTIES serves as a catalyst for dialogue in humanities studies.
The name JOINTIES derives from the words "join" (unite) and "ties" (connections). These two words form the foundation for creating a space where disciplinary boundaries dissolve, generating new perspectives.
JOINTIES aims to:
- Connect local wisdom with global discourse
- Break down barriers between disciplines to allow free interaction of ideas
- Appreciate diverse methodological approaches in research
- Strengthen intellectual networks across academic communities
- Develop innovation through the fusion of diverse perspectives
This journal opens space for studies in linguistics, literature, history, archaeology, art and cultural studies, philosophy, anthropology, ethnography, and religious studies. JOINTIES bridges local wisdom with global academic discourse, and welcomes experimental methodological approaches such as post-ethnography, auto-ethnography, and reflective writing that combines personal experience with cultural analysis. Through this journal, academics are invited to step outside their comfort zones to explore new territories in the humanities.
